My First Commissioned Hoodoo!

This is my first commissioned Hoodoo Doll, done for joshXsavage on DeviantART. He requested it as a give for a friend, and asked for hot pink, lime green, with an eighth note patch! He was very pleased with how it came out!

I'm pretty happy with the way it came out too!

Arrrgg Maties!

Next to join the ranks is Pirate Hoodoo! This one took a few tries, but I think I finally got him right! It was also my first attempt at accessories and I think they came out pretty awesome!

Made from brown felt, he has one black button eye, and skull patch. I've also given him an adorable eye patch with red and white striped pants!

The pants are removable and could be placed on another doll if you wanted to make, say, a pirate zombie!

Don't forget to follow my blog for updates on the opening of my Etsy shop!

Hoodoo Dolls!

My friend, Zach, and I were trying to come up with ideas for plushies that I could make, and for some reason voodoo dolls stuck in our minds. But, when you think of the word "voodoo", it reminds you of spells and magic, sometimes in a negative context. I personally think they are adorable, and we wanted these creations to come off that way. So with a slight change of the name, we are introducing Hoodoo Dolls! Similar in looks, each one has a different personality and are just plain cute!

Each Hoodoo Doll is made from felt, machine sewn for strength and quality, then stitched by hand to add detail. They are stuffed with 100% premium polyester fiberfill, and stand roughly 8 1/2 inches tall.

The first in our Hoodoo Doll series is the Zombie Hoodoo!

Made from green felt, this little guy has one red button eye, with a pink brain patch!

Zach, who I must give a giant THANK YOU to for helping get all this started, has his own ideas for Hoodoo Dolls and may be coming up with his own versions! So we look forward to seeing those as well! I'm working on setting up a shop on so this little guy can find a home, along with all the others soon to come! So keep checking back for new dolls and shop updates!

Welcome welcome!

Welcome to TrixiWizards Hand Made Creations blog! I thought I'd begin by introducing myself and letting you know what this is all about!

For starters, My name is Stephanie, and I love to make things! I love drawing, painting, sculpting, and lately I've gotten pretty heavily into making plushies! It started for a friends birthday, I made him 6 plant plushies from the awesome game Plants vs. Zombies! I was a little skeptical making them at first, but by the time they were done I had a hard time letting them go!

I really enjoyed the process of making them and decided that it's something I would like to do and share with others, which is where all this comes in! I started the blog to showcase all of my creations, and soon will have a shop on for those of you who enjoy them as much as I do!

I suppose that is all for now! I will be posting some photos soon of a plushie series I will be doing, called "Hoodoo Dolls", and I will talk a little more about them at that time.

Thanks for stopping by and I'd love to hear from you!
